    Here are some fun activities you can do with your child to practice concepts we are learning at school. Do them whenever you can. Initial each box to show completion and return this paper to school when finished.

    This is a short month so do what you can!

    Remember to Read for 15 minutes a night. Please sign the reading log too.

     

    Find the Word “the” in your RED Reading Books.

     

    Read one of your RED reading books and then discuss what the setting was? Where did the book take place?

    Tell someone 10 nice things that you could say to someone.

    Take a poll. Find out the favorite color of each family member. Which color was the most and which was the least?

    Write your name 7 times. Use the paper attached.

    Write your popcorn words 3 times each. Use the paper attached.

    Write your numbers from 0 to 20. Use the paper attached.

    Help someone put away the dishes. Sort the silverware.

    Make a pattern with things around the house. (spoons, forks, socks)

     

    Find the word “I” in your RED reading books.

    Read one of your RED reading books and then discuss who the characters were. (the people or animals in a story)

    Write your color words 3 times each. Use the paper attached.

    Ask mom or dad to loan you a small handful of coins. Sort the coins, putting all the same coins in one pile.

    Count the number of windows and doors in your house. Which has more and which has the least?

    Practice writing your alphabet. Use the paper attached.

    Find the word “am” in your RED reading books.
