Feel like bouncing off the walls?? It might just be JOY. Joy is that emotion that effects your brain in a lot of great ways.
Here are some:
- Promotes a healthier lifestyle
- Boosts your immune system
- Fights stress and pain
- Supports a long life
"Smiling can trick your brain by elevating your mood, lowering your heart rate, and reducing your stress. The smile doesn't have to be based on real emotion because faking it works as well."
Just a suggestion on spreading JOY at home. Since everyone is presumably home right now. At the dinner table, take turns sharing gratitude or thankfulness for something that day. It can be as simple as a new flower that popped up in the yard or sunshine! Starting this practice now can shape dinnertime or shared mealtime (whatever time of day) for the future.
- Great read for parents to share joy with thier children every day.
