FACT vs. FICTION
It's recently come to light that a false narrative is surrounding the data of Oxford Area High School 2025 Standardized Testing.
Please understand that reporting false data or leaving out data can be and is directly impacting the OASD students in a negative way.

"Is Oxford Area High School Falling Behind?"

The answer - factually and statistically... No. The Oxford Area High School is not falling behind.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education's Future Ready PA Index and U.S. News show that Oxford Area High School (OAHS) is not facing critical academic challenges.
MATH: 24.8% of all students are proficient in math on the Algebra 1 State Keystone Exams, WHILE 18.2% of ALL STUDENTS are ADVANCED. Meaning a TOTAL percentage of 43% of, again, ALL STUDENTS in the Oxford Area High School who scored a Proficient or Above on the Algebra 1 State Keystone Exams. 43% sounds a lot better than "Only 24%," doesn't it? The State average for Algebra 1 Keystone Exam is 31.5%, where OASD sits at 43.3%... That's higher than the state average.
READING: State Keystone Exams provide proficiency in Literature for all students. While the Percent Proficient of ALL STUDENTS reads 48.6%, the data box titled " Percent Advanced" right next to the proficient column reads 17.8%. The total percent reads 66.4% of all students in the Oxford Area High School scored Proficient or Advanced in the Literature section of the state Keystone Exams, which is over half of the entire student population of the grade level measured in the Oxford Area High School. The State Average of Literature Percentage is 51%. OAHS sits at 66.4%... Again, higher than the state average.
