OAHS National English Honor Society inducts new members

Oxford Area High School recently held the sixth annual induction ceremony for the Bildungsroman Chapter of the National English Honor Society.

The National English Honor Society is sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, and is the only national organization exclusively for high school students and faculty who, in the field of English, merit special note for past and current accomplishments. Oxford chapter members participate in several projects throughout the school year, including book drives for Armed Forces personnel, the high school’s holiday toy drive, after-school tutoring, Read Across America Day visits to elementary schools, and poetry readings for area seniors.
