FCC Offers Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has created the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program, which will provide free Internet to low-income families during the COVID emergency. The FCC is accepting enrollments in the program at https://www.getemergencybroadband.org/.
This program also provides subsidies during the COVID emergency toward the purchase of connected devices from an EBB provider. The Oxford Area School District has confirmed that Armstrong, Comcast (Xfinity), AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are participating in the program, which covers the primary providers of internet in our district.
Please see the attached flyer (above) for additional information about eligibility and how to apply.
