Welcome to the Oxford Area School District. We are located in the southern part of Chester County, a wonderful place to experience country living and the charm of small towns located within an easy drive to major metropolitan areas in several states.

Oxford Area has state-of-the-art schools and programs that focus on the education of every child across a broad spectrum of courses and interests. We are committed to a vision of Kids First, Progress and Unity. To achieve this vision, our board, administrators, and staff promote accountability throughout the learning process rather than emphasizing high stakes testing.

Our four elementary schools include a kindergarten center, a first and second grade building, a third and fourth grade building and a fifth and sixth grade building. Our middle school is comprised of seventh and eighth grades and our high school houses grades nine through twelve.

A staff of approximately 440 professional and support personnel work with a comprehensive curriculum spanning kindergarten through twelfth grades. This insures a proper curricular alignment in the core and non-core subject areas to allow all students to be college and career ready. We offer advanced placement courses and early college courses to allow students to enter post-secondary schools with credit-bearing coursework. This includes the ability to achieve an associate’s degree in general studies while earning their high school diploma.

The board, administration, and staff are committed to providing the necessary support and instruction to meet our goals. However, the support of parents and community is also needed to complete the formula for success.

Community support is evident in the partnerships our schools enjoy with parents, senior citizens, and the business community. Oxford students are provided with a strong foundation of basic skills, preparation for post-secondary education and the world of work, and character education.
