Welcome to the Oxford Area School District!  

Please note: The Registration Office continues to review new student applications during the Summer of 2023. You must upload your required documents into your PowerSchool Account to begin the registration process. Failure to upload your required documents will result in a significant delay in the completion of the student's registration.  Please email registration@oxfordasd.org with any questions or concerns.  

*If you have completed registration please be assured that the schools will reach out to all parents of new incoming students at a later date. You may contact your school secretary via email with any school-related questions. 

Age Requirements for Registration:

• Kindergarten: students must have attained the age of five (5) years on or before September 1st of the current school year.
• First Grade: students must have attained the age of six (6) years on or before September 1st of the current school year.

 Important Change in Definition of “Compulsory School Age” 

Compulsory (which may be no later than at the age of 6 years), until the age of 18 with parental consent or graduation from a high school, whichever occurs first, must comply with compulsory school attendance requirements. To meet these requirements, parents must ensure that their child between the ages of 6 and 18 is attending or participating in one of the following: a public elementary, middle, or high school; a public charter or cyber-charter school; a private licensed academic or private religious school; home tutoring by a certified teacher; or an approved program of homeschooling. Children may be excused from compulsory attendance for documented medical or other compelling reasons as outlined in District attendance policy and procedures.

Required Documents:  Failure to submit all required documentation will result in a delay in the student’s start date.

• Photo ID to verify that you are the parent listed on the birth certificate.
• Birth Certificate (To obtain a new birth certificate, please visit https://www.vitalchek.com/birth-certificates )
• Copy of current immunizations
• Proof of Residence (must include at least two (2) of the following):

Driver’s License, State ID, or Employment Badge with name and current address

Lease or Settlement Sheet

• Utility Bill – Only one (1) utility bill can be accepted and it has to be one of the following dated within 60 days:

Cable 

Electric

Gas

Phone

Sewer

Trash

Water

• Tax Bill
• Pay Stub with your name and address as well as the employer’s name and address dated within 60 days.
• Migrant Education Certificate of Eligibility
