Welcome to the Hopewell Elementary Library Media Center!
Our library is home to 15,000+ tangible books, and about 4,000 ebooks and audiobooks! Our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and resources that they will need in order to be empowered learners in the 21st century. We also strive to encourage students to develop a life-long love of reading by exposing them to a variety of literature and authors.
Take a look at our AccessIt, our new circulation system! You can also access free e-books and audiobooks through the MackinVia app and website using your school login information. See Mrs. Pongracz if you need help accessing any of these resources.
Finally, we use the Accelerated Reader program in our school. Students will take the STAR test a few times throughout the year to determine their Independent Reading Levels (IRL) and comfort zone. Once they know this zone in which they feel most comfortable reading, they can they checkout digital resources from our library in their AR comfort zone. This is to ensure that students are reading at a level that will promote growth in their reading abilities and levels of comprehension.
