FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
FFA is an American youth organization that promotes and supports student growth and success through agricultural education. The organization is for students with diverse interests and backgrounds. Involvement in FFA encourages young people to explore the food, fiber and natural resource industries. Experiences encompass science, business and technology, and developing 21st century skills while learning about production agriculture, sustainability, and stewardship.
Any student enrolled in an agricultural science course at Oxford High School- Ag Science, Small Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, or Large Animal Production Science is part of the Oxford FFA roster. We encourage each to become "jacket active" in order to take full advantage of the many opportunities that FFA can provide for them.
Chapter meetings and mission for student members
Chapter meetings are typically held every Wednesday after school in the Ag Room (Room 4). They run from 2:30 - 4:30 PM and cover a wide variety of topics and activities depending on what events students are planning and preparing for.
Meetings and events are planned through our Program of Activities or POA, which is student led and driven by chapter vote using techniques of Parliamentary Procedure and the 3 Pillars; Growing Leaders, Building Communities, and Strengthening Agriculture.
