Mr. Pierdomenico

Welcome students, parents and community members. I am in my fourth year teaching at Oxford Area High School, where I instruct TV/Video Production I, II, III, IV and Journalism. Additionally, I serve as adviser to our daily morning news show WOHS, our student newspaper The Sting, as well as the light/sound crew at both the high school and Penn's Grove Middle School.

Prior to my time at Oxford, I worked at Conestoga High School in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District as a TV studio aide, substitute teacher, and English homebound instructor during the 2012-2013 school year. I completed my student teaching at Upper Darby High School in Spring 2010, where I taught 12th grade Modern Literature, 12th grade English Skills & Composition and 9th grade English. Additionally, from 2004 to 2012, I worked as a freelance videographer/filmmaker on many different types of projects, including short films, commercials, TV/web series, music videos, etc.

I'm a graduate of West Chester University, Class of 2010, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Secondary English Education, with minors in Psychology and Film Criticism. I grew up in Aston, PA, where I attended Sun Valley High School, Class of 2004. Both institutions helped shape my love of TV production/filmmaking.

It is of utmost importance to me that I am teaching the most current and relevant content in my classroom. As a result, I still spend my summers working on my own film, television and video projects. It is my hope that my experiences outside of the classroom will continue to enrich my students' experience in the classroom as they consider possible careers in this fast-paced, ever-changing field.
