Mr. Pierdomenico
Welcome students, parents and community members. I am in my 11th year teaching at Oxford Area High School, where I instruct TV/Video Production I, II, III, IV and Journalism. Additionally, I serve as advisor to our daily morning news show WOHS, our student newspaper The Sting, as well as the class of 2026.
Prior to my time at Oxford, I worked at Conestoga High School in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District as a TV studio aide, substitute teacher, and English homebound instructor during the 2012-2013 school year. I completed my student teaching at Upper Darby High School in Spring 2010, where I taught 12th grade Modern Literature, 12th grade English Skills & Composition and 9th grade English. Additionally, from 2004 to 2012, I worked as a freelance videographer/filmmaker on many different types of projects, including short films, commercials, TV/web series, music videos, etc.
I'm a graduate of West Chester University, Class of 2010, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Secondary English Education, with minors in Psychology and Film Criticism. I returned to WCU for graduate school and received my Masters in Communication Studies in Spring 2021. I grew up in Aston, PA, where I attended Sun Valley High School, Class of 2004. Both institutions helped shape my love of TV production/filmmaking.
It is of utmost importance to me that I am teaching the most current and relevant content in my classroom. As a result, I still spend my summers working on my own film, television and video projects. It is my hope that my experiences outside of the classroom will continue to enrich my students' experience in the classroom as they consider possible careers in this fast-paced, ever-changing field.
