• Canaday   Principal:  James A. Canaday  

    Mr. Canaday is a proud 1994 graduate of Oxford Area High School.

    In 1998, he began his educational career as a middle school social studies teacher in the Penn Manor School District.  In 2006, he was hired as an administrator by Oxford Area School District.  From 2006-2013, he served as an assistant principal at Oxford Area High School. He served in the same capacity at Penn’s Grove School from 2013-2015.  Mr. Canaday was appointed Penn’s Grove School principal in July of 2015.  In July of 2016, he was named principal of Oxford Area High School. 

    Mr. Canaday resides in the Oxford community with his wife and four children.

     

    Douglas   Assistant Principal:  Dana Douglas

    Ms. Douglas is a graduate of Morgan City High School and Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. She obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. She began her career as an elementary teacher in Louisiana and continued as an elementary teacher in Hampton, Virginia.  While in Hampton, Ms. Douglas transitioned to teaching in middle school. Her middle school career continued in Oxford at Penn’s Grove beginning in 2001 where she taught 7th and 8th grade language arts and math. In August 2016 Ms. Douglas was named assistant principal of Oxford Area High School.

    Ms. Douglas resides in Willow Street and is the proud grandmother of three. Her son serves in the United States Army and her daughter teaches high school math.

     

    Wendle   Assistant Principal:  Andrew Wendle

    Mr. Wendle is a graduate of Avon Grove High School and Villanova University. He received his masters in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.  He began teaching middle and high school social studies at Caravel Academy in 2010. In 2012 he came to Oxford as a high school social studies teacher, where he went on to coach the high school baseball team. In August 2016 he was named Dean of Students at Oxford Area High School and in August 2018 was named Assistant Principal.

    He lives in New London with his wife and four children.

     

    Stephanie Farmer Assistant Principal: Stephanie Farmer

    Ms. Farmer is an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Cabrini College where she obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.  Ms. Farmer started in the William Penn School District as a 4th grade teacher and then switched to the Gifted and Talented program.  After obtaining her Administrative Certificate and Special Education certification, Ms. Farmer taught 3rd grade Gifted Education in the Brandywine School District in Delaware. Ms. Farmer has been an Assistant Principal for a 1-8 building in the Interboro School District from 2014-2022.  Now, Ms. Farmer is serving in the same capacity at Oxford Area High School. 

    Ms. Farmer resides in the Oxford community with her husband, chickens, geese, and bees!  Along with being an Assistant Principal, Ms. Farmer is a SCUBA Instructor and an Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University.
