I have been teaching in the Oxford Area School District since 2005. Prior to teaching at Oxford I taught for 9.5 years in the Cecil County Public Schools, at Rising Sun High School. 

I received my BS in Secondary Mathematics Education at Edinboro University. In 1989, upon graduation, I moved to Maryland to start my first job and have been there since. It was during my time at Rising Sun High School that I got married and had three children. It was after staying home with my children for 5 years that I took a job in Oxford, PA. 

Now, my children are all attending college. My daughter, Joelle, is in graduate school at East Carolina University studying to be a child life specialist in a children's hospital. My son, Chrisitan, attends Mississippi State majoring in Civil Engineering and his twin brother, Nick, is at West Virginia U. studying Sports and Performance Psychology. 

I enjoy fitness and have participated in many half marathons. I began kickboxing at BJJ in Nottingham, PA and enjoy that very much!!  Although I enjoy spending most of my time with my family, as they've grown, I hope to become more involved in school activities. I have been the Helping Hands advisor for 3 years and the Leos Club advisor for 2 years. I enjoy getting to know students in a different way and love to help nurture a culture of service in our school.
