Hello Penn's Grove and Hopewell Orchestra students and families!

My name is Sarah Renz and I graduated from West Chester University in May, 2023. I got my degree in music education and my primary instrument is string bass. I have been playing stringed instruments since I was 9 years old. I started on cello and then transferred to double bass when I was around 16 years old. Outside of school hours during evenings and weekends, I perform professionally. My father is also a musician, so I get to play with him often, which is so much fun!

Aside from music and teaching, I am super active! I love being outdoors in the nice weather and I spend a lot of my evenings fencing. I am also a huge animal lover. I have always had cats, I rode horses for about a decade, and I have had more exotic pets like mice and a cornsnake.

 I am so thrilled to be at Oxford, especially since I grew up down the road in West Grove. We are going to have so much fun in orchestra!
