This program is tailored toward each student that is identified as needing specially designed gifted services. The variety of topics is based on students’ strengths, interests, and core content materials. The program integrates broad conceptual themes within each unit to deepen their understanding. The goal of Gifted Support at Penn’s Grove is to develop the following: higher-order thinking skills, self-directed learning, creative thinking, positive self-concept, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal relationships that stimulate leadership and risk-taking.
Prerequisite: Students enrolled in this course must have a GIEP from the Oxford Area School District.
