Free Inspiring Quotes Mr. Schaefer Uses For Self Reflection
"Character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that is
right is to get by and the only thing that is wrong is to get caught" ~ J.C. Watts
"Character is much easier kept than recovered" ~ Thomas Paine
"Well done is better than well said" ~ Benjamin FranklinGrading Policy
Per District guidelines, your Science grade is based on
Performance Assessments: weighted 70% (Quizzes/Tests/Projects)
Formative Assessments: weighted 20% (Classwork/Experiments)
Homework: weighted 10%
Typical activities will include:
Quiz (15 points) every 8-10 days.
Test (75-100 points) (1 or 2 per marking period)
Homework (5-10 points) 2-3 per week
Notebook ( 1 or 2 per marking period)
Test dates will be announced approximately one week in advance and the date will be posted on the board and on the Wiki site. Quizzes may not have as much advanced notice, but they usually cover material covered in the last week. If you are here the day before a test or quiz then you are expected to take the quiz/test the next day unless you make other arrangements with the teacher. Do not wait until the day of the test to ask questions. Find the opportunity to find me to ask questions either after class or during academic lab. After School help
I am at school every day until 3:15. I would be elated to work with you after school. One day's notice would be appropriate.
How to Get a Detention!
- Be unprepared 3 times in a marking period
- Violate Dress code 3 times.
- Be late to class 3 times in a marking period
- have to be spoken to twice in a period
