  • FINES
Fines for the late return of library books are not assessed; however, responsibility for returning them on time is continually stressed.
Late notices are sent home when a student fails to return a book on three consecutive library periods.

    RENEWALS
Students who wish to renew their library book may do so by returning the book when it is due and requesting a renewal.
The renewal is granted unless the book has been requested by another student.

    DAMAGED BOOKS
The students are taught respectful and responsible book care including keeping it clean and safe while it is in their possession, proper page turning and the need to keep water bottles and other containers of liquid out of their backpacks while transporting their book. It is understood that accidents will nonetheless occur. However, our budget is not sufficient to replace damaged books, so when a book is returned in a damaged condition, a notice is sent home with the student requesting the replacement cost of the book. When payment is received, the damaged book is given to the student to take home and keep. If payment presents a hardship, please contact the school principal for arrangements.
