Social Service Resources in Southern Chester County
The Lighthouse
Currently accepting donations from the community Monday-Wednesday (food and household items) and distributing it to Lighthouse students. The distribution occurs every Thursday and families can drive to pick up a box. For families who do not have transportation, volunteers make home deliveries. They also have a hotspot and families can use it in their parking lot.
Neighborhood Services
Currently accepting donations from the community (food and household items) and they are making appointments with clients to pick up food from their porch. They do have diapers for families in need of diapers. They work with families to provide rental assistance and utility assistance. However, since this is a growing need, they are looking for financial help to accommodate the requests. *Bilingual Services
SILO
Outreach in the community to support food and household needs. Also assisting people filing for unemployment and identifying (and applying for) job opportunities. Delivering food and household items to families in need. *Bilingual Services
Jennersville YMCA
Now accepting food donations and distributing to YMCA members on Fridays. They have not announced it to the general public, but report that they would not turn away any family in need.
LCH
Open for appointments for health-related issues and emergency dental care. Telehealth is also available to assist patients with addressing behavioral health needs. Social Service workers are available to assist in filing for unemployment. They also have a list of current employment opportunities in the area. *Bilingual Services

Providing financial assistance for rent/utility bills. *Bilingual Services
The Garage of West Grove
Mighty Writers and “Scoutreach” (Boy scouts) are distributing lunches daily from the Garage Parking lot (any families are welcome). They are also distributing crafts/educational activities to keep children busy at home (they are in need of donations for these materials). *Bilingual Services
New London Counseling
Offering mental health/telehealth care for patients. They are accepting new patients. They also have several resources on their website that families can access from home. https://www.newlondoncounselingcenter.com/
Family Services
Offering mental health telehealth care. *Bilingual
Maternal Child Health Consortium
Assisting parents with applying for benefits (medical, WIC, cash assistance, food stamps) over the phone. *Bilingual Services
Chester County Women’s Services
Providing virtual parenting classes/support groups as well as anger management program for any community member. Distributing diapers & wipes to families in need. *Bilingual Services
Kacie’s Cause
Available to support individuals battling addiction.
