James W. Fite, Jr., Class of 1985
James Fite Jr. graduated from Oxford Area High School in 1985. He studied accounting at Goldey Beacom College and joined the U.S. Navy, serving as a Russian linguist.
Mr. Fite was selected by President Bill Clinton as the lead interpreter of Project Sapphire, an operation to transfer uranium from Kazakhstan to the United States. He now lives in Georgia with his wife Karen and daughters Mary and Rose.
