• John A. Featherman, Class of 1956

    John A. Featherman was born in Nottingham and while at OAHS was involved in a number of student activities including playing trombone in the school band. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Penn State University, where he was president of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.

    Mr. Featherman was an officer in the U.S. Navy and after his service attended the Vanderbilt University School of Law. He then began practicing law in West Chester, eventually becoming Principal/Managing Director of MacElree Harvey, Ltd. Attorneys At Law.

    Mr. Featherman also attended New York University, where he earned a Master's degree in Taxation. After practicing law for 35 years, he was named CEO of the First National Bank of Chester County where he served until 2012.

    Since 2012. Mr. Featherman has been Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Elite Group, Malvern, which provides employee benefits consulting, human resources, benefits administration and other services. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Clark Capital Management, an independent investment advisory firm based in Philadelphia.

    Mr. Featherman has been invovled with many non-profit organizations throughout his life. He and his wfie Jane have three children and five grandchildren.
