Allison Henry Longenberger, Class of 1995
Dr. Allison Longenberger graduated from the University of Scranton in 2000 with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. She then went on to receive her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh in December of 2009. She worked clinically for 10 years, earned a certification in lymphedema therapy, served as a clinical instructor for graduate students, volunteered in St. Lucia with Health Volunteers Overseas, and published her work in two journals. She has earned the Excellence in Epidemiology and Leadership award from the Bureau of Epidemiology in 2018, received her certification in Infection Prevention and Control, and has worked as an epidemiologist within the Bureau of Epidemiology in the Pennsylvania Department of Health from 2012-2020. She has served as the primary supervisor for Epidemic Intelligence Service officers assigned to the Pennsylvania Department of health from 2016-present. Her efforts in the fight against Covid-19 have been extraordinary as she worked tirelessly to lead, guide, and inform others. During her time at the health department, she has authored and co-authored a dozen peer-reviewed journals and has presented at several national conferences. (pictured on right)
Kyara Gray Uqdah, Class of 2007
Kyara Uqdah graduated from Lafayette College in 2011 where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics with a certificate in finance. While at Lafayette she had the opportunity to study abroad through Goldsmiths College in London, England. Currently, she is on the Board of Trustees of Young Alumni at Lafayette College while also holding a chair position on the Lafayette College McDonough Alumni Network. Her biggest accomplishment is being the Co-Founder and President of Charm City Buyers in which she specializes in buying and restoring homes in Baltimore, MD and constructing the "Community First Development Framework." Kyara is also the VP of Operations and the founder of KKU Estate Investors. (pictured on left)
